Kidnapped Israeli Teenagers – A Palestinian View

by Mudar Zahran, Likud South Africa

June 25, 2014, http://www.gatestoneinstitute.org

You cannot be running TV, social media and newspapers encouraging terror and the murdering of Jews and then claim you are innocent when acts of terror happen.

The PA is now officially united with Hamas, a terror organization that pledges to destroy a sovereign nation and establish a Muslim caliphate. Financing the PA is therefore financing terrorism. PA terror has become a major industry. Is this what the West is so breathless to support?

Would the U.S. or Europe agree to give its cities and parts of its soil for a terrorist organization to establish a country the way U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry has been pushing Israel to give up most of the West Bank and return to pre-1967 borders?

Can we Palestinians blame Israel when the wall never existed before Hamas and the PLO started launching terror attacks on Israel on a daily basis?

Instead of financing the PA leaders’ lavish lifestyles, the world should start questioning the PA’s institutionalized incitement of terror and hatred to my people which they do every day through media, education and religious institutions. For the sake of both Israel and the Palestinians, it is not Israel but the PA that should be boycotted.

“Most people are mad at those who kidnapped the kids. When they commit such acts, we rejoice, celebrate for Israel’s suffering, then sit down and worry if we will be allowed into Israel for work and medical treatment. This has to stop, for our own sake.”   –  Palestinian businessman

While Israel prays for the safe return of three Israel teenagers kidnapped by terrorists last week, although Palestinian Authority [PA] President Mahmoud Abbas tepidly defended the search for the teens — comments for which many Palestinians attacked him — the official PA daily wrote that “Israel itself is behind the ‘kidnapping’,” alleging that the three boys were soldiers when in fact they were students, two in high school, and the kidnappings were celebrated by people, glorifying the kidnappers and passing out sweets. The Fatah Facebook page then published a cartoon showing the three kidnapped teenagers as rats bearing the star of David with the caption “The Master Stroke”.

Keep in mind that the PA exerts extreme monitoring and control over social media used by Palestinians in the West Bank. A Palestinian man was jailed for six months for “liking” an anti-PA post on Facebook. The PA, therefore, is fully responsible for encouraging the celebrations of the kidnappings over Palestinian social media. Read more…

“Operations Brother’s Keeper”

The Likud branch in Russia held an event in support of the kidnapped teenagers and our IDF soldiers.

The event took place at two venues: in front of the Palestinian Mission and then in the streets of Moscow to raise awareness and support for the kidnapped youngsters. The people they met voiced their support for the immediate release of the teenagers and for continuing the fight against terrorism.

World Likud members throughout the world are working hard to increase solidarity and are hoping for the quick and safe return of our boys.

The Jewish State

Dr. StuczynskiBy Dr. Gerardo Stuczynski , Uruguay

Doctor in Law and Social Sciences; Former President of the Latin American Zionist Confederation, currently serving as Secretary General and member of the Extended World Zionist Executive.

Prime Minister Netanyahu has demanded that the Palestinians recognize Israel as the Jewish State. In view of the repeated refusal to do so by the Palestinians, President Shimon Peres had no better idea than to claim that said recognition is unnecessary.

However, this is not a question of semantics; it is a substantial issue. When confronted with the illness, Peres is satisfied eliminating the symptoms. But if the diagnosis is accurate, the medication that conceals the symptoms can turn out to be deadly if it allows the real illness to develop.

It was not Netanyahu the person who introduced this requirement. Ehud Olmert, his predecessor, who belonged to the same party and had differences concerning his negotiating position, also demanded such recognition in the Annapolis talks.

Tu B’Shvat in the Jordan Valley

Over this past Tu B’Shvat (January 16), we organized tours of the Jordan Valley followed by festive tree planting. Hundreds of Likud activists took part and visited the historic sites in the Jordan Valley. The tree planting took place at the Jordan Valley Monument and was followed by a mass rally in support of the local communities. This Zionist show of strength was the perfect answer to those who are questioning our natural and historic connection to the Land of Israel.

Justice for Jonathan Pollard

“Mutual guarantee” is one of the foundation stones of Jewish morality.

Jonathan Pollard is now serving an unprecedented sentence – longer than anyone else convicted for similar crimes – after he acted on behalf of the security of the State of Israel. There is a political consensus in Israel that Pollard’s sentence has gone way beyond any logical punishment and that he must be released immediately. We call on our friends all over the world to work tirelessly on behalf of Jonathan’s release and his return home to Israel.

Yom Hevron 2013

On August 5th, 2013, the France chapter of the Likud held a special tour of Maarat HaMachpela (the Tomb of the Patriarchs) and the Jewish Quarter of Hebron.

The tour was organized and led by Mr. Jack Kupfer , a member of the board of the World Zionist Organization and the chair of the Friends of the World Likud.

Over 500 members of France’s Jewish community joined the tour and they were visibly moved by their visit to Maarat HaMachpela and the flags parade that took place in the ancient streets of Hebron.

Yaakov Hagoel, head of the World Zionist Organization’s Department for Countering Anti-Semitism greeted the enthusiastic crowd and encouraged them to increase aliya to Israel from France.

In his remarks, Jack Kupfer noted that the presence of hundreds of Jews in France is the best possible answer to the policy of boycott and delegitimization enacted by the European Union against the communities.
